First Festival Solos for Trombone - 20 Easy Solos with Piano Accompaniments, Composed or Arranged by Larry Clark and Sean O'Loughlin
This is a new collection of solo pieces with piano accompaniments for use at festival-adjudicated events or in recitals. These solos are written by two of the most popular composers of music for students: Larry Clark and Sean OLoughlin. The solos range in difficulty from grades 1 to 2 and are progressively arranged in the book. An essential part of any good instrumental music program is for the students to play a solo with piano accompaniment. Having students play in a small chamber-music setting is a very beneficial exercise toward improving the students overall musicianship. Many states have solo and ensemble festivals where students can play for a judge and receive feedback on their performance.
