'Alt Wiener Tanzweisen' [Old Viennese dance tunes] are pretty miniatures, vibrant and catchy (the second one with a slightly elegiac coloring), but all have melodic charm and musical elegance. These pieces make for a sweet end to a recital program; Kreisler himself liked to play them as encores.
