The CD contains two versions of each song: a performance of the melody (on violin) with combo and the other tracks with rhythm section only. Designed with the younger player in mind, Swing into Christmas encourages jazz novices to improvise. Some songs include Angels We Have Heard on High, Deck the Halls, The First Noel, Go Tell It On the Mountain, and Jolly Old St. Nicholas.
