Other famous examples of this dance form include an aria of the same name from Georges Bizet's opera Carmen. The habañera rhythm is felt in 2\/4 or 6\/8 time, and is characterized by a syncopated first beat (often a triplet) and a straight second beat (two eighth notes). In his Havanaise, Camille Saint-Saëns alternates the sensual rhythms of the dance with rich melodies and fast fingerwork.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis edition for violin with piano reduction is edited by Rok Klopčič.
